On an epic journey he cycled all over Africa from
Cape Town to Cairo, some 12,000 kilometres.
Recent voyages led him across the towering citadels of the Great Himalayan and Karakoram ranges and the Pamir mountains in the remote area of Tajikistan and northern Afghanistan.
